Ash Collection
The Ash Collection repurposes beetle-affected ash trees into a sustainable furniture line, produced with minimal waste and locally sourced materials within a 150-mile radius of the STACKLAB studio in Toronto.
My role: Contributed to the initial stool and side table design and assisted construction of the prototype using recycled aluminum & wood.
An exercise in design thinking and fabrication techniques. Collaborating through design think sessions with cross-functional team members drove consensus on the final design. I was given the opportunity to work on this project by industrial design firm, Stacklab. I would love to participate in more projects like this, working with physical materials.
